Are You a Thinking Blogger?

Thinking Blogger Award - Silver

I was tagged back at the end of June (yeah, I’m slow at noticing such things) by Roberta of CopywritingMaven.com, as one of five blogs that “makes her think.” The idea is to list some of your favorite thought-provoking blogs. If you get listed, you’re “tagged” and do the same. I don’t do a lot of these tagging bits, but ones that actually provide useful information are worth a go. So here they are… blogs that make Jenn think:

Pop! PR Jots - Jeremy Pepper is one of very few PR people whose opinions I give a rat’s ass about when it comes to social media and online PR. Most simply have nothing intelligent to say on the subjects, because they’re too busy kissing the asses of Internet marketers and the social media mavens. Jeremy lays it all out while keeping in touch with the fundamentals of PR… something so sorely lacking in most PR blogs these days.

Strumpette - Precious few bloggers amuse me, especially in the PR realm. Amanda does. If you can’t tell, I tend to prefer no-bullshit blogs and styles. No one “tells it like it is” quite like her.

ProBlogger.net - If you’re a blogger of any kind, this one’s just a must. I don’t care how good you are. You can still learn more, and Darren’s the go-to guy. Nuff said.

Self Made Minds - One thing I love about my work is that I get to learn about some new sites right off the bat. Self Made Minds is a past client’s site. Not many completely rock my socks like this one did though… they made it onto my “short list” of must-read blogs. It might be relatively new still, but it’s one of the best online business blogs out there, and you’ll certainly learn a thing or two through their pretty complete transparency and willingness to share.

InkThinker - Kristen King’s InkThinker is one of very few freelance writing blogs that I try to visit regularly. (I’m heavily active and network in that general community.) Now, it’s not that there aren’t other good writing blogs out there. It’s just that I don’t spend a huge amount of time reading blogs, so I’m obnoxiously picky. But if you’re a writer, this one’s worth reading, and definitely has its thought-provoking moments.

Now if only I could find the time to actively participate on more of these blogs…. Oh well. For now I’ll settle for sharing the linky love, and give you a break from my PR bitching and ranting for another day. ;)
