SEO for PR Professionals

Posted by Jennifer Mattern on September 11th, 2007 in Online PR

About a week or two ago, there was some discussion going on among a few PR bloggers about ethical SEO. I’m going to be producing a free report on the issue with the help of a UK-based SEO specialist I’m acquainted with (in the spirit of transparency, this person is in fact a past client of mine).

I won’t be starting on it immediately, because I’m currently working on an e-book on building pre-launch publicity for authors (because I was asked to participate in an online seminar for authors in October to cover that topic). Within the next few weeks I’ll be outlining and handling the interview process.

I’m mentioning it now, because I wanted to open things up a little bit to questions. If you have questions about the ethics of SEO or SEO tying to more traditional PR methods (or it being used in conjunction with more traditional PR methods), please feel free to ask them here in the comments or via email - jennifer.mattern@jhmattern.com and I’ll take note of them and try to be sure they’re answered in the report.
