Back to Blogging - And Rants to Come!

I know I’ve been absent here for a little while. I don’t apologize. I’ve heard so much stupidity lately in PR blogosphere rumblings that I’ve been tempted to virtually bitch slap more than a handful of people, but frankly the cool, blustery, and rainy days of Fall have had me so “up” that I just couldn’t be bothered to be a bitch… even if deserved.

So let’s start off with a non-rant before delving into more “interesting” topics for the week(end).

I’ve had a few reasons for not posting to this blog in a little while, aside from my seasonal bliss. I’ve been launching two new blogs / sites, trying to focus on my freelance writing and book marketing blogs a little bit, writing an e-book, and blogging about online PR and related issues for a client’s blog. For the utterly interested….

Redfly Marketing Blog - This Irish SEO / Internet marketing company is a client. I recently started contributing to their SEO blog, covering online PR and related topics. Dave has proven to be one of the most respectable SEO pros I’ve had the pleasure to get to know (and I know plenty). He was kind enough to also agree to let me pick his brain for my SEO for PR Pros report I’ll be releasing (probably early next year, as I’ll be too swamped to really dive into it until then). So far, we’ve got:

Jentrepreneur.com - My latest blog just launched a few days ago. This is primarily for my webmaster audience and not PR folks… detailing a few new and revamped projects, discussing online business, online promotion, and blogging issues, etc.

FreePressReleaseWriting.com - No, it’s not targeting PR peeps in any way, shape, or form. It’s a site containing very basic articles on press release writing, pushing my short e-book on the subject targeting webpreneurs, sharing a few niche release templates, and sample releases from webmasters for webmasters interested in the DIY approach. Sometimes I amaze myself with how much time I put into offering that group free resources to show them why they don’t need to hire me. At the same time, it’s a lovely little way to bring in more business… go figure. It’s about two days old (maybe three?), so there’s nothing fascinating there yet… just starter content, mostly from other sites I run. The site will be offering press release writer profiles, so if you’d like to list yourself feel free - there’s a submission form link in the right column towards the bottom. Solos and firms all welcomed.

So who’s on the chopping block for NakedPR in the coming week?

And the following folks may just inspire the rare non-rant NakedPR post this week:

EDIT: Due to a supremely idiotic post on the supposed death of the AP, we’ll be adding WebProNews to this week’s hit list…. shaping up to be a “fun” week.
